Sandalford Wines
The establishment of Sandalford Wines in 1840 coincided with both the first European settlement at the Colony of Perth and birth of Western Australia's world famous wine industry. In 1970, the Company was one of three initial pioneers of the Margaret River wine region (275km south of Perth and today considered by many as one of the world's truly great premium wine growing appellations) when the first vines were planted at its 300 hectare vineyard located there. In 2015, we are extremely proud to be one of the country's oldest and largest family owned winemakers. In fact we celebrate two incredible milestones this year with Sandalford celebrating its 175th anniversary since it was first established and of course 40 years since the first vines were planted at the company’s Margaret River vineyard. The Company's Wine and Wine tourism operations and facilities have developed iconic status in the past 20 years since the Prendiville family acquired the business in 1991. Under their guidance, both the Swan Valley and Margaret River operations have been extensively developed, and today the Company's portfolio of wines along with its Wine Tourism, Concert, Retail and F&B facilities are recognised among the very best in Australia. In one of the most sustainable wineries in the country we create our current collection of Prendiville, Estate Reserve, Margaret River Range and Element award-winning wines. With advanced viticultural practices and a progressive winemaking team, we have a long-standing reputation for quality and over-delivering at every price point.
