Squatters Cottage is an easy, carefree, attractive home located in a quiet, treed street just moments away from both Dunsborough town and the beach.

The space: Squatters Cottage is the perfect place to escape for weekend with your family and/or friends. Its proximity to both the beach and town guarantee everyone can move around with ease. The house has everything provided including linen, kitchen essentials and wi-fi. The fully fenced yard means you don’t need to worry about younger children if they are outdoors playing.

The open plan styled kitchen, living and dining space ensure everyone can relax together and enjoy each other’s company whether that’s cooking, sitting by the fire, playing games or enjoying a movie. The living space opens into the outdoor dining area which is undercover to protect you from the elements. Outdoor entertaining is made easy with a barbeque at the ready and there is ample space for a game of backyard cricket or lazing in the sun.

The master bedroom is located to the right as you walk in with a queen bed and en-suite attached. An additional TV is located in the master room to make you feel like you are really on holidays.

The second bedroom also consists of a queen bed whereas the third bedroom has a double bed. The last bedroom has 2 singles in it with a variety of toys that can be found in the cupboard if children are staying in there. Every room has been fitted out with ample storage to keep your belongings.

The general bathroom is centrally located and has a bath for those looking to relax and enjoy a local glass of red in a freshly run bubble bath. Dry yourself with warm towels thanks to the heated towel racks.

The house has reverse cycle air conditioning installed for optimum comfort in any season.

Other things to note: We do require noise levels to be kept to a respectful level and ask you to take it indoors after 10pm. There is a 7 night minimum in Summer school holidays, 4 night minimum over Easter, 3 night long weekend minimum and 2 night stay required during all other times of the year. On all bookings there is a $250 cleaning surcharge and $66.00 booking fee. Bond is $1000 which is fully refundable if the house is left in a respectful manner.

Cancellation Policy

We require a 25% deposit at the time of booking in order to secure the reservation. Full payment including refundable bond of $1 000 is required 8 weeks prior to the commencement of your booking.

If the booking is made within 8 weeks then full payment is required to confirm your reservation. Should you cancel your accommodation the deposit is forfeited.

As per HIGHLIFE Holiday Properties policy a Security Bond of between $1000.00 is payable on all holiday properties.

This bond is fully refundable once the stay has finished and the clean / property inspection have been completed and no damage has been reported. The property is required to be left in a clean and tidy state as you found the property on your arrival. This requires that the barbecue is to be clean dishwasher loaded and cycle commenced (cleaners will empty). Fireplaces cleaned all furniture to be returned to original positioned as arrival and all keys/remotes to be returned as per instructions at the end of your stay. Please be aware that for all stays a cleaning surcharge of $250 will apply. A booking fee of $66.00 is also required. This amount is non refundable.
